"The purpose of my letter is to endorse the election of Manjit Kaur for Germantown Alderman. I am familiar with Manjit through our service on the Germantown Education Commission (GEC) over the last four years. I have come to respect her as a person who gives so much of herself to our community, resulting in our community being better because of her.

Manjit is selfless! I have personally watched her attend to detail and ensure the success of the Battle of the Brains Contest for high school students sponsored by the GEC. She believes deeply in providing students with the invaluable opportunity to be intellectually stimulated to create and build projects in the area of math, science and/or engineering and then present them to the public and the judges. Her rational, calculated approach to planning results in the event running smoothly on presentation day. She exhibits selflessness in her behind-the-scenes hard work that many don’t notice, and she works really hard without the expectation of pubic acclamation.

Manjit is omnipresent! I recently went through Leadership Germantown and had an opportunity to be involved in innumerable community events. I am amazed at the number of times that Manjit was present, volunteering and supporting the program and the city of Germantown. She supports Leadership Germantown as secretary of its board.  She has shown sincere caring and volunteerism for our community in so many ways. As an example, she has volunteered many times at the Germantown Covid-19 vaccination site.

Manjit is a true volunteer! Whenever help is needed, Manjit humbly raises her hand and is willing to serve in any capacity. Regardless of her specific assignments on the GEC, she supports all members of the Commission with their assignments. Her self-sacrificing efforts make us all successful.

Without reservation, I endorse Manjit Kaur for Alderman of our great city. I know that she will continue to be a valuable member of our community and an asset to the city of Germantown and its status as one of the most outstanding communities in our region."
